Medicare Assistance
Until January 1, 2006 when Medicare Part D takes effect, the purchase of a Medicare Prescription Drug Card, at a maximum cost of $30 annually, is still an option for any Part A or B beneficiary. For low-income single individuals who earn less than $12,569 annually or a married couple with an income below $16,862, the $600 credit is also available in 2005, although these funds will be prorated depending on the date application is made.
Appointments in St. George will be scheduled hourly from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 13 and Friday, January 14 or Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 11 at Senior Center, located at 245 N. 200 West. Appointments in the Hurricane Valley will be scheduled Thursday, January 13 and Thursday, March 10 only. Appointments in Enterprise will be scheduled Friday, January 14 and again on Friday, March 11.
