Chamber to honor service men and women at weekly luncheon June 16

A special Chamber luncheon on June 16, will be dedicated to honoring military men and women who recently served, are on active duty or are veterans of foreign wars, as part of a week long celebration of Military Appreciation week June 12-19 in Utah.

Dave Palmer, branch manager of SOS, who recently returned from Iraq, will be the featured speaker that day. Dave will share pictures and stories of his experience in Iraq and Kuwait.

Chamber members and others are requested to submit names of those they know who are currently serving with their rank and where they are serving. These names will be read during the program and pictures collected will be part of a static display and possibly a power point presentation. Names and photos are being collected by Ranse Savage of ATS Building Systems. Leave a message on his cell phone at 467-7447 or email him with names and photos.

Chamber members are also encouraged to bring service people to the luncheon that day as your guests. If you plan to bring an additional military guest that day, please call Lorri and leave a voice mail message at the Chamber at 628-1650 so we can plan for adequate seating and meals.

Joe Bowcutt of Southern Utah Title, Joe Christopher of Painters Sun Country Chrysler/Dodge and Ranse Savage of ATS Buidling sytems will be working with Chamber staff to organize events that week.
