The irrigation frequency is still every 3 to 4 days. However, areas that have received some rain, should check your soil before adding anymore water. You may be able to eliminate an irrigation or at least reduce the irrigation time.

Soil temperatures also are still too high for good root growth. As the temperatures begin to cool, the irrigation needs of the landscape will require less water and soon the temperatures will be where the roots will start to grow again. At that time the turf can use some nutrients to help it recuperate from this stressful summer. Stay tuned, and I'll mention when an appropriate time to fertilize will be, but hold off until then.

And just a reminder to check your sprinkler system to make sure there are not any broken heads or misaligned ones. And make sure you are mowing your turf at 2 1/2 to 3 inches. This height is the most water efficient.
