Singles Sampler

As many of you will know, our recent Saturday focus on Relationship Radio…The Coach Blair Show…on KDXU AM 890…was Singles in Southern Utah. It was really a pleasure to interview Allen Larsen and Linda Irvin of the Schooner or Later Mates singles organization and to further the cause of our regional singles. We talked about the different levels of intimacy and identified the social and emotional and sometimes physical (not sexual) areas as prime focus for this organization and for singles in general. This group is nondenominational and accepts basically anyone who is looking to participate in fulfilling those needs. I was impressed that this group does seem very accepting and supportive of all backgrounds and including the dominant LDS culture.

Another single named George Cannon has put up a free registry and news delivery/discovery email site at southernutahsingles@yahoogroups.com or you may call him at 634-0339. Other groups and services will be developing as we support already existing entities.

There are several potential age groupings that have different needs and there may be denominational preferences or other desirable groupings. Please come on August 7th at 6 pm to help the local singles continue to organize and improve the services available. My role in all of this is to simply facilitate the singles getting what they want and need and I hope that you singles will team up and have as much fun playing as a team as you do developing a very bright singles future.
